Chunerpeton is an extinct genus of salamander discovered in the Daohugou Beds in Nei Mongol (Inner Mongolia), China. It was a small animal measuring 18 cm in length. There is controversy about the age of the strata containing these fossil salamanders, with speculation ranging from Middle Jurassic to Early Cretaceous.
